The Center invites financial contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations with an interest in religious understanding, professional ethics, or enhanced professional education and service.

Online

To make a secure online donation to the MU Center on Religion & the Professions please navigate to https://donatetomu.missouri.edu/

Fill out the form as follows:

1. Choose “Other” under “Fund.”
2. Fill in the amount you want to give under “Amount.”
3. In the text box type in “Center on Religion & the Professions.”
4. Follow instructions for checking to see whether your employer has a gift-matching program. If it does, enter your employer’s name in the appropriate box. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. The impact of your gift to our school may be doubled or tripled. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
5. Click on the “Continue to Payment Information” button. The next screen shows what you have entered in the previous screen. Check closely for accuracy and click on “Submit Gift.” If you need to make a correction, click the “back” button in your browser.
6. The next page allows you to fill in the credit card and mailing address for the card you use to make your donation. Check everything closely and then click the “Continue” button.
7. The next screen shows you what you have entered in the previous screen. Check closely for accuracy and click on “Confirm.” If you need to make a correction, click the “Edit” button.
8. You will see a “Gift Receipt” page that shows the details of your gift.
9. You will receive two confirmation emails, one is about the credit card transaction and the other is a “Thank You” message.
10. You will receive a formal receipt related to your gift in the mail in a few days.

Checks

Contribution checks to the MU Center on Religion & the Professions should be payable to the University of Missouri-Columbia with a note on the memo line stating the donation is for the MU Center on Religion & the Professions. If you prefer to designate your gift for a particular area of need in the Center, please include a short note with your check or indicate the designation on the memo line as well. • By letter: Send a note or letter including your name, credit card type, account number, expiration date, billing address, telephone number or e-mail address at which we can reach you, signature, amount you wish to contribute, and your preferred designation, if any. Send donor correspondence to:

Matching Gifts

To encourage employees to make charitable gifts, many corporations will match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Rules about the types and amounts of gifts that companies will match vary. Check with the personnel department of your employer or your spouse’s for particular guidelines.

Corporate and Foundation Giving

• Corporate giving: MU’s Office of Corporate Relations serves as a liaison between MU and the corporate community. Its primary functions are to identify areas of need and interest; establish and develop relationships between the company and MU faculty, researchers, students and staff; and build a partnership based on mutually-beneficial opportunities.
